The Period Project Melbourne - National Homeless Collective

When you check out with your new period pants, we’d like you to consider donating to our charity partner, The Period Project Melbourne.

The Period Project is an Australia-wide initiative that provides support, menstruation products and essential living items to women, non-binary people, and trans men experiencing homelessness and housing uncertainty.

In the 2016 Australian Census, out of the 24, 825 recorded homeless in Victoria, 62% were aged between 12 and 44 with 42% identifying as female. That’s over 6,000 menstruators a month having to choose between food for themselves or their children, a warm blanket or hygienic period products. 

This is in one state, in one country.

If you are privileged to choose all these things with a little money to spare, please consider donating to our charity partner and give the gift of dignity to a child like your own or a person just like you, feeling the same period cramps, bloat, discomfort and emotions, all while sleeping rough.
